General description of the collection: The Gordon R. Patton photograph collection reflects the service of Mr. Patton in the 194th Field Artillery Battalion of the Seventh (7th) Army in Europe during WWII, mostly in 1944 and 1945. There are some good photos of 155 mm guns in position and on the move in the European Theater of Operations (ETO), but the preponderance of the collection is of groups of members of the 194th Field Artillery Battalion. Most of these are not identified by names.
